MACHINE CATCHING As with all technology, machine catching equipment is being improved every year. Machine catching is a viable option to manual catching in areas where labour is not available. But it requires Maintenance and repair & cross check of its Performance regularly.
But either you are using machine catching or Manual Catching, always try to put less stress.

Below Precaution to be taken care before Bird’s catching.
Handling limits – depends on bird size and crate/module design: No more than 3 large birds per hand – >2.6 kg (5.75 lbs)
Smaller birds – up to 5-6 birds per hand.

Limit handling birds from one hand to another hand not more than once – do not pass birds between catchers. Back catching is limited to 2 birds – common practice when coops are used. This limits wing damage. But Take Huge Time & Extra Labour required.
Never Put Birds in Cages in Too Much Hurry, so that they feel Pain.
It Will Cause Huge Weight loss because of Stress.
If you are transporting Birds to a long area. Always ensure all birds have taken proper feed and water.
Any poultry multivitamin & multi mineral also can be given one-two days before while Replacing Birds to One Shed to another Sheds & after 1-2 days after replacing. It helps to reduce Mortality.
Bird’s Catching must be done at night as much as possible & Lights Must be very dim. While Catching Birds, Feeders & Drinkers must be removed or to be raised to extra height, ensuring no water spillage, feed Wastage & birds must not collide with any Feeder & Drinkers.
